Shaan Singh (Social Sound Productions) is a Grammy Award-winning Engineer / Mixer / Producer based in Los Angeles. His credits span an impressive range of artists—from Young Thug, MGK, Childish Gambino, Pharrell, Janelle Monáe, to John Feldmann, Travis Barker, and many more. View Discography.
Shaan’s career began working with legendary producer Bryan Michael Cox, before going on to engineer for Young Thug for over five years. Since then, he’s continued to evolve as a trusted force behind major records across genres. He brings over fifteen years of experience in the recording industry, with a deep understanding of the creative process that stems from his roots playing in bands at age 16.
Shaan is a five time Grammy Award winner, including Record of the Year for Childish Gambino’s This Is America, and a Grammy for Black Radio III by Robert Glasper. He also holds six additional Grammy nominations for his work with artists such as Ed Sheeran, J. Cole, Travis Scott, Future, Kanye West, and Terrace Martin.
Shaan has worked extensively with Machine Gun Kelly on several projects, including Tickets to My Downfall, genre: sadboy, and most recently as the engineer and vocal producer on MGK’s acclaimed new album lost americana. He also contributed to Jelly Roll’s latest album Beautifully Broken, and has worked on projects with Blink-182, Post Malone, and A$AP Rocky.
In addition, Shaan collaborates closely with Travis Barker, including recent projects with Yellowcard and Deyaz. Whether it’s engineering, mixing, or production, he approaches every project with the same focus: to elevate the artist’s vision and bring their work to life.
When he's not working in studios around the world, Shaan operates out of his custom built studio in Studio City, Los Angeles. He prides himself on being a supportive, enthusiastic, creative, and grounded presence in every session—someone who truly connects with each artist and understands the nuances of the recording process.
